SafeSpace4Youth offers three free, interconnected educational outputs to help youth workers and young people work with mental health.
TRAINING FOR YOUTH PROFESSIONALS
This programme focuses on an evidence-informed model of coaching for positive mental health and will introduce coaching scenarios and role plays that empower youth professionals to promote positive mental health within their youth settings and local communities.
This program comprises
WELLNES AND WELLBEING COACHING SCHEME
Providing step-by-step guidance and recommendations for creating and facilitating safe spaces for youth. It includes practical didactic tools and effective strategies to assist professionals in providing quality coaching mentoring to young people with low-level mental health issues, including, inter alia, coaching tools for each level, short handouts, coaching vignettes, practical tips, dos and don’ts, examples of coaching scheme aids.
SOCIAL ACTION TOOLKIT AND ACCOMPANYING
TRAIN-THE-TRAINER PROGRAMME
A programme that builds the skills and competences of youth workers to facilitate and introduce social action as a valid methodology and approach for youth engagement. The toolkit examines what youth social action is, how it can benefit young people and communities, how it supports employability skills development, how to build on existing provision, and to prepare for and reflect on youth social action.
PEER LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME
This programme comprises 4 modules that support young people to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to become leaders in tackling poor mental health among their peers.
